About the Book
The book is an empirical research done by author on socio-economic status of Tibetan women in exile. In early 1960s during conflict migration and resettlement it were the Tibetan women and children who suffered the most as out of their sheltered existence they became vulnerable to various forms of gender based exploitation.
About The Author
Dr. Madhu Rajput is Ph.D. in History and is currently working as a Reader in the Department of Western History University of Lucknow. Her area of research is South-Asia specifically Bhutan. The topic of her Ph.D. was “Indo-Bhutan Relations since 1949 – A Study of Political Social and Economic Affairs”.
Having explored the less traveled trajectories of Bhutan with all the picturesque and awe-inspiring scenery it is only natural that she has again undertaken the task of pursuing D.Litt. on Bhutan to unveil the magnificent culture ethics and the unprecedented events of this mysterious Himalayan kingdom.
