Dzatrul Ngawang Tenzin Norbu (1864-1940) was a master in the Nyingma lineage. He studied at Mindrölling and was the teacher of Trushik Rinpoche Ngawang Chökyi Lodro. In 1901 he founded Doe Ngak Sungjuk Choling Monastery which was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976). Julia Wilson holds a BA in comparative cultural studies from California State University San Francisco and has been studying Tibetan and Buddhism in India since 2006. She has served as the interpreter for Geshe Lobsang Tsundu at the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives in Dharamsala India since 2012.
