Welcome to Reiki Class 1. Let me introduce myself. I am your Reiki Teacher. My name is Dr. Mohan Makkar I have completed my Ph.D. from the Alternative Medicines College in Calcutta which is affiliated with Russia and USA. Before we proceed further I would like to tell you how I was introduced to REIKI "THE UNIVERSAL HEALING ENERGY"
For the past few years I have been treating people by absentee healing method an art that is hereditary and partially acquired through my father.
The main problem I faced while healing people was unconsciously I took the disease of the sick people on myself. The results were always positive people were healed but I remained sick most of the time. So much so that my wife and children got fed up of my sickness.
Pressure started building up. Finally the lid blew up and I got a notice from my wife "I have had enough either you choose treating the sick people or you choose me I will not let you have both!" I was in a dilemma. I strongly believe that nature takes it s own course and in my case it did.
I met a girl named Manjusha. She contacted me for her mother who had frozen shoulders I treated her mother and Manjusha thanked me personally. At this time she declared that she was a Reiki Master herself. What is REIKI? I asked her. She explained to me.
I poured out my grievances to her. She suggested that I should go for a Reiki Course. I did attend the Reiki Course. Reiki 1 was through a teacher - who got me really fooled. I believe she is just a Reiki Master not a Reiki Master/Teacher. Attunements were given by the Reiki Master and I believed that I had the power to heal without taking the illnesses on myself till the time I came across another Reiki Master/Teacher.
